Bouncing & Pedaling Contribute to Energized Culture
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Team members bounce and pedal at work contributing to the thriving culture and accelerated growth of TwelveStone Health Partners, a premier provider of post-acute chronic care services based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Large fitness balls are more than decoration. They’ve replaced several cubicle chairs of the pharmacy’s 150-person staff. Kerstyn M., a registered dietician for TwelveStone, reported her workflow, focus and fitness all increased because of the mobility and slight bounce she enjoys balancing on her fitness ball.
Jennifer B. works in the billing department of TwelveStone and enriches her day with an “Under Desk Elliptical” from FitDesk, a North Carolina company. Jennifer has two sons and staying strong to fully engage work and then go home with energy for them is important to her.

She said moving and investing in her health significantly impacts how she feels about her contribution at work and in life.
Tim Hooper, founder of Time4Energy, also based in Murfreesboro, has aligned with TwelveStone as they sponsor the national campaign, “Got Energy?” Tim speaks to teams about passionate, abundant and vibrant living and encourages small changes like those exemplified at TwelveStone. “We were made to move; when we move our bodies, we stimulate our minds,” Tim stated. “I was super encouraged by the modern, and wellness-centered philosophy of Twelve Stone when I toured their state-of-the-art facility.”
Tim noted numerous gym bags lying in team members’ offices. He watched staff members give cold, 17-ounze water bottles to visitors and patients. Chief executive officer, Shane Reeves, has labelled these, “living water.” Additionally, Lee Golden, chief pharmacy officer who miraculously fought and is rehabbing from a raging illness, was supplied a height-adjustable standing desk upon his return to TwelveStone.
Shane Reeves leads by example as an avid member of Murfreesboro Athletic Club; further, Reeves and Hooper share a monthly run discussing business. TwelveStone also sponsors a local, annual 5K race paying registration for team members.

“They’re not just hype; they truly encourage and invest in the well-being, fitness and energy of their people,” Tim reflected. “When you truly invest in team members’ wholeness, team members wholly invest into your business!”
Last year, TwelveStone Health Partners made its third evolution since their start as a Murfreesboro drug store in 1980. In 2016, Shane Reeves, launched their vision for national expansion. Just last month, Claritas Capital, a Nashville-based private equity firm, announced they will invest 3.35 million in TwelveStone’s expansion. This sort of investor-confidence is driven by leadership’s clear vision and a cutting-edge business plan; and, just as importantly, an energized, enthusiastic and engaged team of people to carry out that plan and propel the business forward!
